Well, I haven't updated in a while for a lot of reasons.
I'm on Myspace and Facebook and update there all the time--so that's the best way to hear from me.
Anywho, here's an update about what's been going on with me.
This summer we have had a crazy busy youth group. We went in June to Ichthus which was great. Then July 4 weekend we went to Cincinnati where we went to a baseball game and watched the fireworks--which were amazing--and the creation museum and King's Island. Then last week I was in Washington DC on a mission trip. I really loved DC. The metro is fantastic and I think Wise Co needs one. Too bad no one has their mineral rights and one could never be built. On the mission trip we worked a different job everyday, we worked with a great family who is trying to get a church going in Southeast DC which is where we worked most of the week. I really want to take a group back next year.
Coming up with the youth: We are having a youth rally. We have booked "This Beautiful Republic" and a youth pastor from VA Beach area to come speak. We are looking really forward to that but I am not really sure what else I can do to promote it. We are really trying to get the word out and hope that people show up!!!!
After that, in October, is the girls youth conference "The Revolve Tour" in Charlotte. I have 6 girls signed up right now and I'm really looking forward to this girl's weekend out.
I guess all I have to talk about is the youth because other than my paying job, the youth takes up the rest of my time.
Jarred and I are so blessed and happy at this time in our lives. I love my husband more than I could ever try to describe in this bad boy but he makes me so happy.
Duncan is completely rotten. While we were gone on all our youth trips, we had other youths take care of him. He loves it. He loves new people. One of the youth said "he never meets a stranger". I would have to say the only stranger he has ever met is the mailman. He gets so riled up when the post comes it's crazy.
So there is my update, and I think probably my last. Goodbye LiveJournal.

Well what to say? Where to start. I've felt from the beginning that Obama would win. Why? Because America deserves it. I don't mean that in a good way. We deserve to be judged for what we have done/allowed to happen in this nation. Now, we will be.
No, I'm not saying he is the anti-Christ.
Yes, I will be going out to purchase a gun. Why? So I can have it and my bible to cling to when this country starts sucking.
(PS-I used to be a pretty good shot as a child, and belive me, I will know how to use it!)
I still have yet to hear one good reason to vote for Obama.
And, on second thought, I'm so ready to go home this is a little bit exciting. I do feel bad for you all who will be stuck here to wallow in your horrible decisions. I really do.

So, I am so excited I can't stand it.
1. I bought a tent shower.
2. We set it up and I love it so much. It's roomy and fabulous.
3. Looking up new-to-me bands like "I am Terrified" and "The Switch" and trying to fall in love with them to replace my love for "Kids in the Way"
4. Made a schedule so I can see what's on all 3 stages at any given time.
5. Picked my "must see" bands...and they are *drumroll please*
RED, Hawk Nelson, I am Terrified, Gwen Stacy, Inhale Exhale, Flatfoot 56, This Beautiful Republic, The Switch, Disciple, MxPx -----and in that order
Other than those bands I will definetly be at hardcore night on the Edge Stage and whatever else sounds awesome while I'm walking around.
6. I bought a new camera that has TEN TIMES OPTICAL ZOOM and will go up to 40x digital! Prepare for AWESOME photos when I get back. I've taken some test photos and they are super awesome!
We are going to leave at 6:00 am so we can get there at 10:00 as soon as camping opens. We won't be packing nearly as much food since we are only taking and being responsible for 1 youth. Probably mostly water and junk food and a little bit of sandwich stuff.
Mostly at this moment I am really happy about the shower tent. It has two rooms, one dressing room and one shower room. They are really good size rooms too. Now I am looking into a solar powered shower thing, sure not great water pressure but much better than arctic cold water in the bath house.
I AM SO EXCITED I CAN NOT STAND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who will be on the Gotee showcase Wednesday, please someone tell me!

Please pray for those affected by the tornado. My mom (thankfully) knew the sound from living ok Oklahoma and knew exactly what it was before it touched down. But after hiking up to her house tonight to help her get a few things...some people were not so fortunate as her. It basically got part of her roof and completely destroyed her car (a GIANT tree fell on it...It's not a ficas). But huge trees are down everywhere. I stood on the Collier's front porch and could clearly watch cars drive on Avaiation road. So the park is probably completely destroyed as well. Anyway, please pray for those less fortunate.

I voted today in the Presidential Primaries. I figure this is the most important primary I'll ever get a chance to vote in and I feel pretty strong about my candidate so...
I hope he wins VA!

It's been awhile...
Just got back from the beach for Thanksgiving, a very nice 80 degrees...yes very nice. I have some pictures up on myspace.
At the beach house there is an outside shower and I used it all week. We've been renting that particular house for years and no one has ever used it. I really liked it. We also set a record for most times visiting the Piggly Wiggly in one day (6x). I bought a tshirt that has the pig on the front and on the back says "I'm big on the Pig"...I feel like at this point it is an understatement.
Jarred and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary on the 18th. It was good to take a week to vacation for it too.
Other than that, not too much new going on. Work, Youth, Sleep, Eat. Duncan is still rotten as ever. We missed him a lot while we were gone.
I'm also back to dieting. I've definetly let it get out of hand. But I've done it before and I can do it again.
To wrap it up, everything is going good right now.

| Update at long last |
[10 Sep 2007|08:35pm] |
I know I haven't updated in a long time. Things are going pretty good. Jarred found out last week that he passed his praxis 2 which means he went today and applied for his teaching license, I guess he'll get that in a couple of weeks. Now we just pray that God leads us to where he wants us to be...wherever Jarred gets a job.
We are going to Gatlinburg this weekend, just happens to be the weekend of the rod run so we will be avoiding Peigon Forge like the plague. Going around to get to Gatlinburg and coming in the backway to Dollywood. I'm pretty excited, I just hope it's not too hot at Dollywood. They are having a bluegrass and bbq thing-that will be awesome! Should be a nice getaway and vacation that we definetly need!
I've also been trying to lose some weight, I gained a LOT since I got married. After I lost so much to fit in that dress, I guess I didn't care after it was all over.
That's pretty much all that's been going on. Duncan is spoiled rotten but he is a real sweetheart when he's not being mean.

| General Update |
[10 Jun 2007|06:05pm] |
Duncan is doing GREAT. He is such a good dog. Only goes psycho when I take him for a walk at the park. Gonna have to get a "no-pull harness" for those trips.

Here are the following bands I plan on seeing THIS WEEK/WEEKEND at ICHTHUS!
Family Force 5 Flatfoot 56 Family Force 5 again Jars of Clay Gwen Stacy Seventh Day Slumber Falling Up Eleventyseven The Wedding Relient K Newsboys Hawk Nelson Sweet Memorial Psalters
I've got a lot of downtime so I'll just go see whatever the girls want to see. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, espeically since they just added extra concerts a day earlier including...FF5!! This list is just "must see"s I'm so excited!!
