Update at long last
I know I haven't updated in a long time. Things are going pretty good. Jarred found out last week that he passed his praxis 2 which means he went today and applied for his teaching license, I guess he'll get that in a couple of weeks. Now we just pray that God leads us to where he wants us to be...wherever Jarred gets a job.

We are going to Gatlinburg this weekend, just happens to be the weekend of the rod run so we will be avoiding Peigon Forge like the plague. Going around to get to Gatlinburg and coming in the backway to Dollywood. I'm pretty excited, I just hope it's not too hot at Dollywood. They are having a bluegrass and bbq thing-that will be awesome! Should be a nice getaway and vacation that we definetly need!

I've also been trying to lose some weight, I gained a LOT since I got married. After I lost so much to fit in that dress, I guess I didn't care after it was all over.

That's pretty much all that's been going on. Duncan is spoiled rotten but he is a real sweetheart when he's not being mean.

I am soooo jealous! Janis and I just love going to Gatlinburg. Only problem is that we can only go once ever three or four years. When we do go we do make certain to get over to Peigon Forge and Dolly Wood :)

Tell Jarred that I said congratulations on passing his praxis 2 and that I wish you both the very best as you see where the Lord will have you both to go and to serve :)

I am actually kinda excited about going, but that's only because I really really need a vacation.

Since it is so close to where we live we have both been a million times. It was THE place for parents to take their kids on vacation and my dad took us every year, we had season passes to Dollywood.

But we won't be able to do anything other than Dollywood in Peigon Forge because the traffic is ...well there's not a word bad enough for it... let's just say you get stopped in Servierville and it takes 4-5 hours to get to Gatlinburg during the rod run. We'll take another route that won't put us in all that traffic but there's not really that much to do in Gatlinburg, maybe we'll ride the chair lift.

We love the chair lift and I since we don't get to go much we enjoy looking around in all the shops. Janis loves the aquarium, in fact we can't go to Gatlinburg unless I take her to the aquarium and then of course there is the national park that we can't help but to ride through when we are up there.
